Jessica Daigle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maine. She provides mental health services on campus to all UMFK students. Jess specializes in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This involves recognizing and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that lead to an increased feeling of distress. She also utilizes concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (embracing the full range of human emotions and mindfulness) as well as Client-Centered Therapy (empathetic understanding and unconditional positive regard).
Jessica also serves as the Accessibility Manager on campus. She helps students navigate the Accommodate platform, transitioning to the differences of having disability services in a postsecondary setting, and finding accessibility services that help provide equal access to all of the programs and opportunities available to every student attending UMFK. Understanding that Disability Services ensures equal access but does not guarantee success is a significant adjustment for many students transitioning from high school or homeschool settings. Having an office that can field questions and advocate for student needs is an essential component of this position.
*Jessica will take any student seeking services. However, 2/3 of her time is dedicated to helping with TRIO students*

Uwill became available to all UMFK students in the fall of 2024. This service provides students the opportunity to choose which therapist they want to receive services from. Things like ethnicity, gender, and style of therapy are just some of the options that Uwill provides.
Uwill was founded in 2020 to assist campus counseling centers as they faced overwhelming demand for mental health support. Uwill has quickly earned a reputation as the leading mental health and wellness solution for all people. With its proprietary technology and passionate counselor community, Umatch facilitates immediate appointments with licensed therapists worldwide.
As the demand for therapy continued to increase, so did the need for mental health trauma support. In 2021, Uwill introduced Uhelp, a direct crisis connection, allowing individuals facing trauma to connect with a licensed therapist trained in crisis 24/7/365. Uhelp changed the landscape for students in crisis. Later that year, Uwill also introduced Urise, on-demand wellness programming designed to complement therapy, including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and more.
Recognizing that the need for mental health support extended beyond higher education, Uwill enhanced its solution to provide support for other markets, including K-12 and employers.
Uwill’s solution now supports more than 3 million lives in all 50 states and 40 countries.
