An enrollment deposit is required to hold your spot in classes and allows for a room assignment to be made if you are choosing to live on campus. The deposit will be credited to your first semester's tuition bill - it is not an additional fee. Enrollment deposits are refundable if the request for a refund is submitted to the Admissions Office prior to May 1 for the fall semester or January 1 for the spring semester. You can pay the fee with a credit card by calling the Admissions Office toll-free at 1-888-879-8635 or online using Self Service in MaineStreet. For additional instructions on how to pay your enrollment deposit online please follow the instructions in this link. If you prefer to mail a check or money order, you can mail it to the following address:
University of Maine at Fort Kent
23 University Drive
Fort Kent, ME 04743
Residence Hall Questionnaire & Dining Hall Contract
This is required ONLY if you intend to live on campus and is required prior to a room assignment being made.
Immunization and Medical Forms
All students are required to show proof of immunization and verify insurance information. We also ask that you provide basic medical information for our Health Clinic to have on hand in case of an emergency on campus.
* Nursing students must go to CastleBranch.com to set up their online immunization record. All other majors please complete the General Immunization Form.
Student Health Insurance
All students taking 9 or more credits on the UMFK campus are required to have health insurance. You will automatically be enrolled in the UMFK Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable medical insurance can be provided. For additional information please contact the Business Office at (207) 834-8650 or email@example.com. For more information on UMFK's Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan click here. Students who already have a comparable health insurance plan may fill out a Waiver Request here.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent will not release student grades, schedules, or financial aid information to parents, spouses, or others, unless written permission is given by the student. If you wish to provide consent for the University to share your educational records with your parents or other family members, fill in this form and submit it to the Registrar's Office.
If you have not activated your email account, please do so. All official UMFK notices will go out using this "@maine.edu" email account. If you need assistance activating your account, contact our Help Desk at 207-834-7818 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Orientation is a great way to meet other new students and to learn about our campus. Sessions are held throughout the summer for the Fall semester and in January for the Spring semester. More information will be sent by our Student Affairs staff. If you would like additional information about Orientation, contact Vicki Daigle at email@example.com.
If you have not applied for Financial Aid, you can apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The priority filing date for completing a Financial Aid file to UMFK is March 31. We recommend submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processing center by February 1. Although consideration for assistance will be given at any time during the year, it is in your best interest to apply as early as possible after October 1. For additional information, contact our Financial Aid Office at 207-834-7606 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Financial Documentation Form (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY)
All International students are required to show proof of sufficient funds in order for UMFK to issue an I-20. The Affidavit of Support provides specific instructions on how the form should be completed.
