Confirmation Deposit

International students must confirm their matriculation at UMFK by paying a confirmation deposit. This deposit is NOT an additional fee; it is to secure your place here at UMFK and will be reflected in your first bill.

Confirmation Deposit: $50

You can pay your confirmation deposit through ONE of the following methods:
  • If paying over the phone, payment must be made by credit card.
  • If you need help accessing your MaineStreet Student Center, please call (207) 834-7818 or email
  • If you pay through Flywire, you must email UMFK Admissions. No auto-notification will let them know you chose this option. Flywire payments will take up to a week to be reflected on your UMFK student account.

Signing Up for Classes

To easily access your Student Center, visit the UMFK campus portal at and log in using your school account username and password. Once logged in, click the Student Center icon in the portal’s LaunchPad.

Once you access the Student Center, you can navigate through its various functions using the side panel (if it is not already visible, click the button on the left-hand side of the screen to expand it).

  • To begin choosing courses, click or tap Class Information, then select Class Search.
  • On the Class Search page, at minimum, select the Term (semester) you wish to register for and the course Subject you’re looking for. You can filter results with several other options, such as Academic Career (undergraduate or graduate), Catalog Number, Keywords to search, and more. Once you’ve entered the necessary information, click or tap Search.
  • From the search results, find the course you wish to enroll in, click the three vertical dots to the right of the course information, and select Add to Cart. Alternatively, you can expand the course information to see more details and click the Add to Cart button at the bottom right of the course details.
  • Once you’ve added your classes to your cart, navigate to your Shopping Cart, choose your listed courses, then select Enroll in the upper right-hand corner.
