IMPORTANT – Changes Are Coming to the 2024-2025 FAFSA!
Below are a few of the changes coming to the 2024-2025 FAFSA.
- The 2024-2025 FAFSA application opens in December 2023.
- The FAFSA questions will be different. It will have fewer questions. FAFSA questions have been rearranged, removed, and added.
- The IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) is being retired and replaced with Direct Data Exchange (DDX).
- The Student Aid Index (SAI) will replace the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC).
It’s FAFSA Time – Apply Early!
Complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA beginning October 1, 2022, online at the Federal Student Aid website. Don’t delay — this FAFSA determines eligibility for financial aid in Fall 2023! Get it done early; applying early can give you a better financial aid package.

The FAFSA is the primary application to apply and be considered for financial aid.
Use the FAFSA Data Retrieval Tool!
If you filed taxes for 2021, we ask you to use the Data Retrieval Tool if you are eligible. You’ll be connected to the IRS website, where you can have your 2021 income tax information transferred directly to your FAFSA. Using Data Retrieval reduces the chances of being selected for verification.
