Your Financial Aid Checklist

  1. Get prepared. Track down your family’s tax return.
  2. Fill out and submit the FAFSA. Our school code is 002041.
  3. Review your Student Aid Report (SAR). You’ll receive one after you submit your FAFSA.
  4. One week later, check your TO DO List in your Student Center. Complete items being requested, if any, to complete your financial aid file.
  5. Review your UMFK Financial Aid Offer in your Student Center. Contact us if you have questions.
  6. Compare your estimated UMFK costs with your UMFK Aid Offer.
  7. Accept the financial aid (in your Student Center) that works best for you and your family.
  8. If you have a gap and are short of financial aid to cover your estimated school costs, come up with a plan to cover the gap.
