The University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK) will host its annual fall open house for prospective students on Friday, November 6, offering a firsthand look at campus life.

“Our fall open house is one of the best ways for students to truly experience the spirit of UMFK,” said Heidi Carter, executive director of marketing and enrollment management. “From meeting our incredible faculty and students to exploring our beautiful northern Maine campus, visitors will get a real sense of the supportive community and hands-on learning that define UMFK.”

Registration and a student services fair will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the UMFK Sports Center, with a light breakfast and refreshments served. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the student services that UMFK has to offer. Representatives will answer questions regarding residential life, career planning and financial aid. A welcome from admissions staff, and a student panel to discuss campus life.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., faculty across campus will highlight academic programs and demonstrate hands-on learning opportunities.

A complimentary lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Nowland Hall, during which student ambassadors will lead rotating campus tours. The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session and raffle prizes.

Prospective students can register online.

The RSVP deadline is November 5. For more information, contact the UMFK Admissions office at 207-834-7600 or umfklife@maine.edu.
