Doctorate of Nursing Practice

Our Doctorate of Nursing Practice represents the highest level of clinical nursing education. If you are ready to take your career to another level, we will prepare you with the advanced practice and leadership skills you need to get there.

Accelerated BSN

Already have a bachelor’s degree?  Looking to change careers? This is your pathway to getting a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at UMFK!

Competency-Based Online RN to BSN

UMFK’s Competency-Based Online RN to BSN program — powered by YourPace at the University of Maine at Presque Isle — lets you earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing in a self-paced 8-week format. Demonstrate mastery of each competency to advance when you are ready.

Online RN to BSN

Advance your nursing career with a fully online RN to BSN program built for working nurses like you. Featuring flexible 7-week courses that fit your schedule with weekly assignments to keep you on track, you will connect regularly with faculty and peers while receiving personalized feedback every step of the way.

LPN to BSN

Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) wanting to further your education? Our LPN to BSN track considers your prior learning, shortening the time needed to complete your degree!

Traditional BSN

Passionate about helping others? The traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program will prepare you for a valuable career you can take anywhere!

Online MSN

This option is ideal for those who already have a bachelor’s degree in nursing and wish to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).

RN to MSN Bridge Program

Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree? Our RN to MSN bridge program allows you to receive your Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) for either an Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (A/GACNP) or a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) without needing a BSN!

RN to MSN Pathway

Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree interested in Nursing Administration or Nursing Education? Through a partnership with the University of Southern Maine (USM), RNs can pursue their MSN online in those fields, completing most of their credits through UMFK!

Criminal Justice

About the Program

In UMFK’s criminal justice program, you’ll prepare for entry-level positions in local, state, and federal law enforcement and criminal justice. With a focus on ethical and critical thinking, courses are taught by professionals with decades of experience in the field. Much of what you learn will be put to the test in real-world learning environments, including a required internship.

Online MS in Homeland Security

The online M.S. in Homeland Security at UMFK prepares you to lead in an increasingly complex and unpredictable security landscape. This program strengthens your ability to anticipate risk, coordinate multi-agency responses, and make high-level security decisions under pressure.

Criminal Justice – Bachelor of Science

Gain the knowledge and skills you need for employment and advancement in a multitude of public safety professions including police officers, state troopers, sheriff’s deputies, game wardens, customs and border protection, corrections, emergency management and many others with the Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Criminal Justice – Associate of Arts

Earn an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice online or on campus for employment or advancement in the criminal justice system and with various law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, regional, and local levels.
