Brief Biography

Dr. Lavoie is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of the Cumberlands, her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) – Maine Studies from the University of Maine, and her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling (CLRC) from the University of Southern Maine. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, and a certified rehabilitation counselor.

Lisa is an avid reader; her favorite genres are murder mysteries and police procedurals. A lifelong learner who enjoys spending time with her family, she can frequently be found outside enjoying the beauty of Maine.
