The Nursing Honor Society inducted University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students and fellow nursing professionals honored students at the Nurse Pinning Ceremony on Friday, May 9, in the Fox Auditorium.
Awards and scholarships were presented to deserving University of Maine at Fort Kent students at the senior class banquet and awards convocation held on Friday, May 8 in the UMFK Sports Center.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent graduating seniors received their degrees at the 133rd commencement exercises held at UMFK on May 9. University President Wilson G. Hess presided over the ceremony that conferred 163 bachelor degrees and 43 associate degrees.

University of Maine at Fort Kent Assistant Professor of Business Leo Trudel has conducted research for his doctoral dissertation in which he showed that successful farmers in Maine tend to use business plans. Trudel recently graduated from North Central University in Prescott, Arizona, with a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management.
