Dr. Leo Trudel brings an extensive business background to his work at UMFK, shaped by hands-on experience across a wide range of industries. Leo has worked in farming, real estate, logging, finance, and of course, teaching. He’s broken new ground as an entrepreneur, starting the first cannabis cultivation and retail business in Maine. In the classroom, his teaching style focuses on building concrete skills that students will need to succeed in any career, and he has the experience to back it up, having worked at nearly every level from dishwasher up to running his own business. Outside of work, Leo enjoys traveling by motorcycle, near and far.

One highlight of homecoming was a great sports schedule! UMFK Bengals Women's Soccer took home a win on Saturday, followed by the Men locking down a tie. On Sunday, alumni took the field for a pair of soccer games, and off campus, UMFK Baseball secured a 10-8 win in their debut game!
