Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony

UMFK will host its fourteenth annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremony on Saturday, September 23th in the University’s Sports Center during the University’s Homecoming weekend.

Following very successful classes before whose achievements and contributions exemplify the ideals of good citizenship. These three inductees of UMFK Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023 is a distinguished group in its own right.
 
Odean Irons: Attended UMFK in 2012, 2015-2018. He was a men’s soccer player and 2012 USCAA National Champion in 2015 and 2016. USCAA All-American 2015, 2016, 2017. USCAA All-Academic Team, 2017. 26 Career goals, 25 career assists in 88 games (all started) as a Midfielder/Utility player. UMFK Most Valuable Teammate, 2016. UMFK Coaches Award, 2017. UMFK Terry Drown Scholastic Achievement Award, 2018


Brianna Krystek: Attended UMFK from 2015 to 2017 and played Volleyball. 2 USCAA National Tournament Appearances, 2015, 2016. USCAA 1st Team All-American, 2015, 2016. Team Captain, 2015, 2016. UMFK MVP, 2015. UMFK Coaches Award, 2016. 781 Career Kills (Most is school history). Most kills in one season (443). 67 Aces (Most is history until 2022 season). 893.5 points (Most points in school history).



Samantha Carrapellucci: 2012-2016, four year dual sport athlete W Soccer and W Basketball. 1,000 point scorer in basketball. 2016 USCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four, team captain. 2016 USCAA 2nd Team All-American. Team captain of Soccer team, three time USCAA National Champion. 2014 Most Valuable Teammate – Soccer USCAA Honorable Mention.   
 
In addition to the induction ceremony, Derrick Cooper, graduated at UMFK in 2008earning a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, will be honored as the recipient of the Floyd “Red” Powell Award.

The Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony begins at 5 p.m. with a social followed by a banquet and awards ceremony. The public is encouraged to attend.

Tickets for the banquet are $40 per person and may be purchased online at: https://www.umfk.edu/alumni/homecoming/event-registration/or through the Athletic Department, located at the Sports Center.
