Do you like to sing in chorus? Are you looking for something interesting and creative to do?
Forest Song, the Fort Kent community chorus jointly sponsored by Christ Church Congregational-UCC and the University of Maine at Fort Kent, is looking for soprano, alto, and tenor/baritone voices to join it for its December 2009 concert of old and new choral holiday favorites. All interested voices are welcome.
No, you don’t have to be able to read music as long as you can carry a tune. Forest Song rehearses Saturday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christ Church Congregational, 35 Pleasant Street, in Fort Kent. Its first rehearsal and fall organizational meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at 10 AM.
Christ Church Congregational is the little white church located next to UMFK’s main entrance.
Forest Song has been in existence since 2004. It supports itself through membership donations and community sponsors. It is dedicated to creating and presenting vocal music to the communities of the St. John Valley, and to extending the appreciation of music to all.
