The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes and the Wesget-Sipu people are pleased to invite the St. John Valley community to a workshop entitled “Northern Maine Trees That Heal, ” that will be held on Wednesday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and again from 1 to 3 p.m. The workshop will be held in Grindle conference room located in Cyr Hall.
The workshop will be given by Natalia Bragg-Taylor, of Knott-II-Bragg Farm of Wade, Maine. The event is free to the public.
Ms. Bragg has been a practicing herbalist for over thirty years. Participants will learn to identify different species of trees and their medicinal properties, and how to use them to make salves, ointments, or oils. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about nature’s healing.
Seating is limited, and is available on a first-come, first-served, basis. Pre-registration is required. Contact Lise Pelletier, Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes director, at (207) 834-7536 or email@example.com.
