The University of Maine at Fort Kent academic outreach office will welcome David Soucy, director of the Maine Bureau of Public Lands, who will speak on "Ownership, Access and Management - Maine's Woodlands" on Friday, November 10 at 12 noon in the Grindle Conference Room.
Soucy, a native of the St. John Valley, will discuss trends in ownership of Maine's forest lands. Soucy will provide insight from his position in state government and his years of involvement in the private sector.
According to Soucy, "These changes, and the resulting affects on access, land values and resource management, will have an impact on Maine citizens for some time."
The lecture is free and open to the public.
