UMFK soccer teams split games against UMPI

Maria Williams drove home a Whitney Zettergren set-up to give the University of Maine at Fort Kent Lady Bengals a 1-0 victory over rival University of Maine at Presque Isle Tuesday, October 18. Williams scored that game's lone goal eight minutes into the second half.

Bengal goalie Heather Hartman stopped twelve shots in recording her third straight shutout. Hartman has registered a total of six shutouts to tie the Sunrise Conference lead.

Johanna Bubar had seven saves for 5-5-1 UMPI. The Bengals improved to 9-5-0.

The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls downed the University of Maine at Fort Kent Bengals 3-1 on UMFK's Alumni Memorial Field Wednesday, October 19.

All the scoring came in the second half. The UMPI tallies came from Robert Alan, Sebastian Itman and Travis Parent. Scoring UMFK's goal was Miguel Roman-Gomez assisted by Jules Bodo.

Bengal keeper Nick Thibodeau has seven saves. Ryan Conrad also has seven saves for the Owls.

The Bengals led in shots 22 to 7.
