The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Associate Professor of Education and Environmental Studies, Dr. Bruno Hicks, has been named a Leading Educator of the World by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England. Dr. Hicks is the chair of UMFK’s Education Division.
In a letter to Dr. Hicks, Nicholas S. Law, director general of the IBC, wrote:
“You are to be congratulated. Many thousands of biographies from a wide variety of sources are investigated by the Research and Editorial Departments of the International Biographical Centre each year for inclusion in our renowned reference books and for consideration for our Awards Programme. A select few are those of individuals who, in our belief, have made a significant enough contribution in their field to engender influence on a local, national or international basis. You are one of these contributors to excellence.”
