November 24, 2008

University of Maine at Fort Kent Director of Student Affairs, Scott Voisine (center), received the Dirigo Award for Education from the Finance Authority of Maine at its annual banquet in Portland last week.   The Dirigo Award for Education is presented each year in recognition of an individual who has made special contributions to increase access to higher education for the citizens of Maine, or who has inspired others to pursue higher education.   Scott is joined by Kelly Lizotte, who has worked with Scott on several projects at UMFK, and by Glenn Lamarr of Fort Kent, a member of the FAME Board.
