UMFK'S DR. ROY ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR INTERNATIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR COLLEGIATE BUSINESS EDUCATION

University of Maine at Fort Kent Associate Professor of Mathematics & Business, Dr. Roger A. Roy, was elected a regional director to the Board of Directors of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) at its annual conference, held March 30 to April 1, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Dr. Roy, who is chair of the University’s Professional Management division, has been secretary-treasurer of the New England chapter of the IACBE since November 2009.
 
The IACBE accredits business degree programs in colleges and universities throughout the United States and internationally. It is the accrediting body for UMFK’s professional management programs (Business Management, Rural Public Safety Administration, Electronic Commerce, and Computer Applications). UMFK has been accredited by the IACBE since 2007.
 
The IACBE is the premier professional accreditor of business programs in student-centered colleges and universities throughout the world. The IACBE exists to promote, develop, and recognize excellence in business education.
