The University of Maine at Fort Kent will welcome Wendy Page, Community Education Specialist, and Pam Jandreau, Clinical Specialist, of Aroostook County Action Program's Health 1st will speak on "Developmental Disabilities: Sexual Health and Safety" on Wednesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. in Nadeau Hall Teleconference Room.
UMFK's academic outreach, Maine Parent Federation's Parent to Parent Program and Northern Maine General Case Management Services, are pleased to host this free workshop for families and those who support them.
The speakers will discuss methods to prevent the possible exploitation of people with developmental disabilities by separating the myths from the facts. Participants and family members will learn ways to deal with questions and concerns about sensitive issues.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
