University of Maine at Fort Kent Student Success Coordinator, Kate Fecinta will host a Career Day and Graduate School Fair for University students and community members on Wednesday, April 11 in Cyr Hall and Nadeau Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Employers and graduate schools from the northeast and Canada will be in attendance to discuss career options and position openings.
Both students and community members will have a chance to meet with representatives from various companies and institutions to obtain local and regional information about job and graduate school opportunities.
"UMFK is excited host this Career and Graduate School Fair to enable both students and members of the community to meet with different employers. It will hopefully allow the discussion of career plans and graduate school options along with the ability to network with local and regional representatives," said Kate Fecinta, student success coordinator at UMFK.
The day will also include resume writing workshops, which will be sponsored and hosted by the Madawaska Career Center, for all who are interested. In addition, financial aid exit interviews for graduating university students also will be available.
If you plan on attending, consider bringing copies of your resume to distribute to potential employers for consideration.
"With a record number of representatives and vendors attending this year's fair, I am sure that attendees will find discussions most helpful during this slight economic downturn," notes Fecinta.
