The curtain will rise once again on the University of Maine at Fort Kent's Summer Theatre Program with the production of “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare.
The play, under the direction of Corey Gagne, will be performed on Thursday, July 26; Saturday, July 28; and Sunday, July 29.
Audition dates are scheduled for Friday, June 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Fox Auditorium at UMFK, or by appointment.
“Twelfth Night” is a crazy comedy that explores mixed-up gender roles, mistaken identity, and mistaken expectations. Among the funniest and most outrageous of Shakespeare's plays, “Twelfth Night” is considered one of his finest works.
Auditions are open to anyone in the community who is interested. No experience is necessary; only a desire to try. Male and female actors, singers, dancers, technicians, and production staff of all ages are encouraged to audition or volunteer.
"There are plenty of wonderful roles and production positions available. Come work with us, and have a memorable summer doing some community theatre.” said Aaron Bernstein, producer.
Anyone interested in being a part of the production should contact Bernstein by phone at (207) 834-7893, by e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org or on the UMFK Summer Theater FACEBOOK page.
