Bob Crowley, the winner of the CBS television reality show Survivor Gabon last season, will speak at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Thursday, July 2 at 7 p.m. in the Fox Auditorium.

Crowley will speak about his experience on Survivor Gabon, which took place in the west central African nation.

He also will show some DVD clips of the Survivor show.  Crowley’s appearance at UMFK will be his only one in Aroostook County.

The event is free to the public, but donations will gladly be accepted at the door.  All proceeds will benefit the Maxine Gagnon Page Family Scholarship at UMFK.

The scholarship was established by members of the Page family in November 2000 to honor Maxine Gagnon Page’s contributions to education.

Maxine Gagnon Page, a long-time resident of Fort Kent, was a teacher for many years at Fort Kent Community High School.

Since its establishment, the scholarship has provided assistance to many UMFK students, based upon academic standing and financial need.

Bob Crowley’s wife, Peggy, is the daughter of Maxine Gagnon Page.

For further information or reservations, please call the UMFK Development Office at 207-834-7800.  ###
