UMFK to announce new admission incentive for St. John Valley high school students at press conference

University of Maine at Fort Kent campus officials and representatives from the St. John Valley's four high schools will launch a new university admission incentive program for high school students at a press conference and media luncheon on Monday, June 27 at 11:30 a.m. in "The Lodge", the university's new residence hall.

UMFK President Richard Cost will be joined by representatives from the guidance offices at Fort Kent Community High School, Madawaska High School, Van Buren District Secondary School and Wisdom High School in St. Agatha to announce an innovative program designed to better facilitate local students transition from high school to university.

The program, directed at high school juniors, is also designed to better serve students in the St. John Valley communities in UMFK's immediate service area. Details of the program will be announced at the press conference.
