Photo: Medicinal Plants Seminar

July 3, 2008

The Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes and Wesget-Sipu invited Natalia Bragg-Taylor, of Knot-II-Bragg Farm, to give a workshop about the uses of native plants for medicinal purposes. The public was invited to the free event which took place at the Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes on Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day started with a nature tour where Ms Bragg-Taylor identified for participants the various plants, herbs, and roots that grow naturally in our environment, and what they can be used for. Mrs. Bragg-Taylor, a Native American, is a founding member of the Aroostook County Herb Association and has been a practicing herbalist for 30 years.  For more information about the workshop, please call Lise Pelletier at 834-7536.
