Hailed as one of Moliere’s most entertaining and enduring plays, Tartuffe is regarded as a comedic masterwork.
In Molière's Tartuffe, a conman poses as a religious guru and insinuates himself into the home of a well-to-do gentleman. Over the course of the play, he schemes to seduce his benefactor’s wife, marry his daughter, and swindle him of all he possesses. Who will stop the wily Tartuffe?
The summer theatre production staff are Corey Gagne, director; Aaron Bernstein, producer and John Blanchette, technical director.
Admission is $5 for the general public and free for UMFK students. Seating is limited. For ticket information, call 834-7893.
