University of Maine at Fort Kent Professor of Computer Science, Dr. Raymond T. Albert, recently returned from the 2009 annual Association of Small Computer Users in Education (ASCUE) conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he was a guest speaker.
The conference, entitled “Academic and Administrative Technology Issues & Innovation in Higher Education,” included three and one-half days of panels, presentations and roundtable discussions encompassing the full- range of technology in higher education.
“I presented a peer-reviewed article entitled The ‘U’ in Information Security, that was very well received,” Dr. Albert says. “I have been invited to attend next year’s conference and I am looking forward to nurturing the professional relationships that were formed during this year’s conference,” he added.
ASCUE is a dynamic organization for people interested in small college technology issues. Its members include information technology professionals, instructional technologists, and faculty members from all over the world who use computers and technology to support teaching and learning. ###
