Historical Societies to Share its Treasures on the UMFK campus

The Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes of the University of Maine at Fort Kent is proud to welcome the historical societies of the St. John Valley on Saturday, December 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

 Members of historical societies from Van Buren to Allagash will talk about their publications and special on-going projects. A number of historical societies have published books about the heritage and history of our area and our people. 
 
Chad Pelletier, president of the Fort Kent Historical Society, and Faye O’Leary Hafford, Allagash historian and author, will read from their respective society’s books.
 
In addition, there will be an exhibition of vintage Christmas decorations, toys, and ornaments.
