University of Maine at Fort Kent sponsors, “Bringing the Pieces Together,” a day-long conference being held on Friday, January 11, 2019, in Nadeau Hall.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host its annual Fall Open House for prospective college-bound students on Monday, October 29 to give everyone a chance to experience campus life.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month is observed each year in the month of October. The University of Maine at Fort Kent is proud to support this awareness month by hosting the Hope and Justice Project’s exhibit in the Blake Library. The exhibit is open during library hours until the end of October.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Professor of Music and Education, Dr. Scott Brickman, will have another composition of his available on a commercial recording. Scherzo ala Polonaise (2017) for two flutes, which was premiered December 19, 2017 in Athens, Greece, by Iwona Glinka and Renata Guzik, and is scheduled for release on September 21, 2018. The CD, titled Two Minutes, is on the Phasma label (Phasma-Music 004) and is distributed in the European Union by Naxos recordings. Additionally, Ms. Glinka’s recording is available on media outlets such as iTunes and Spotify.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Board of Visitors is encouraging the public to attend a Business Breakfast featuring University of Maine System Chancellor James H. Page who will be discussing the importance of the $49 Million bond for Maine’s public universities on the November ballot. The breakfast will take place on Tuesday, October 16 at 7:30 a.m. in the Nadeau Hall conference room on the UMFK campus.
