The University of Maine at Fort Kent Presidential Lecture Series judges have made their decision, and three individuals will be awarded as the winners of the spring 2014 semester bi-annual writing contest. The theme for the contest was “Where I'm From.”
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Environmental Studies Speaker Series will host a presentation by Amanda DeMusz on Friday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon in the Nadeau Hall teleconference room. DeMusz will speak on the topic of black bear management in Maine. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Ten students from Env 400 and Bio 339 Senior Projects, and Bio 202 Botany courses spent eleven days on the road traveling to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent's fifth annual Scholars' Symposium will take place on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25 on the UMFK campus. The theme of this year's event is “The Language of Learning.”
The University of Maine at Fort Kent Waneta T. Blake Visiting Professor, in conjunction with, the Environmental Studies Speaker Series will welcome Author Den Latham to present on campus, Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23.
