Adjunct Visual Art Instructor, Therese Provenzano, M.F.A., will be teach three courses during UMFK’s 2011 fall session: Art 451 Painting, Art 302 Public Canvas: Art, Design and Social Change; and Art 100 Art History I. Whether you want to learn how the arts can bring a community together, develop skills as a painter, or develop art appreciation, each course is geared towards how the arts cater to our understanding of being human.
The Woodmere Art Museum of Philadelphia awarded her the Edith Emerson Prize Award and the Metropolitan Museum and Art Center of Coral Gables, Florida awarded her the First Prize Award in the Arango International Design Competition. Provenzano was nominated for the Dedalus MFA Fellowship in Painting and for Excellent Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture for the International Sculpture Competition. She has exhibited her work in New York, Florida, Philadelphia, Vermont, and Maine.
