The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Blake Library Gallery is featuring photos by Aroostook County photographer, Sherri Skinner. The exhibit will be held through Thursday, September 24.
See the amazing details, vibrant colors, wonderful photography. These are just a few of the comments that Sherri Skinner of Wild-n-Woody Photography receives when people view her work.
Photos such as a frog, moose, heron, garter snake, snapping turtle, and monarch butterfly will be just a few of her stunning works adorning the walls of the gallery.
Sherri's passion is presenting the beauty in all of nature, from spiders to toad stools, in her photographs. She hails from Shin Pond, where she lives with her Fort Kent native husband, Andrew Hartt, and their three beautiful daughters.
She also will feature a contest, with a prize of an 8x10 photo of your choice within an 11x14 mat. Sherri will display an abstract photo, of something in nature, in which you will have to guess what it is. The winner will be drawn from all correct submissions.
Take the time to become one with nature. Come to the UMFK Blake Library gallery and enjoy the scenery. You may be the winner of one of Sherri's photographs. You can view her website, and see the contest picture under "Photo of the Week", at www.wildnwoody.com
The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours. For more information, contact gallery curator Sophia Birden at (207) 834-7527.
