The University of Maine at Fort Kent invite the business community and service organizations throughout the Valley to participate in a day-long “Community Fair” on Thursday, September 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Cyr Hall.
Each participant will be provided free booth space and an eight-foot display table. Deadline for reserving a space is Friday, September 4.
“This community has a lot to offer our students. This is a great way for our students to get to know community businesses and service organizations that they will be interacting with while they are students at UMFK,” noted Scott Voisine, UMFK student affairs director.
The fair is designed to introduce university students to the products and services available in the region. It is a good way for the business community and organizations who want to market themselves to the new and returning UMFK students.
The aim of the student affairs director is to have as many businesses or organizations as possible participate to truly give UMFK students, particularly those from outside the area, an idea of what is available in the surrounding communities.
Businesses interested in participating in the "Community Fair," or that need of more information, are encouraged to contact Lisa Roy at 834-7513.
