UMFK'S DR. RAY ALBERT NAMED TO CHANCELLOR SEARCH COMMITTEE

University of Maine at Fort Kent Professor of Computer Science, Dr. Raymond T. Albert, has been appointed as a member of the search committee that will recommend the next University of Maine System (UMS) chancellor. Dr. Albert’s appointment was announced by UMS Board of Trustees chair, Michelle Hood. 

The Chancellor Search Committee duties and responsibilities state that the membership of the Committee shall be four Trustees, one of which shall be designated as chair of the committee, and one representative each from the faculty and student representatives to the Board. Dr. Albert is UMFK’s faculty representative to the UMS Board of Trustees.
 
UMS Chancellor, Dr. Richard L. Pattenaude, announced earlier this year that he planned to step down as chancellor at the end of the 2011-2012 academic year.
