Soprano singer, Suzanne Nance, will be the musical highlight at the University of Maine at Fort Kent Foundation Annual Dinner this Saturday, April 10.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m., both in Nowland Hall. Ms. Nance will perform at 8 p.m. in Fox Auditorium. A post-performance reception will be held at 9 p.m. in the Nadeau Hall Teleconference Room.
Tickets to the event are priced at $50 per person, and include the social, dinner, admission to the performance, and the post-performance reception. Tickets are available through UMFK Foundation directors and also at the University’s Development Office, located in the Madawaska House.
Ms. Nance, an accomplished operatic singer, will be accompanied by George Sebastian Lopez, on the piano.
Nance studied music and communications at Syracuse University and received a Master’s degree in voice performance from DePaul University in Chicago. Most recently, she has performed in Prague, London, Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York. She also has performed with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and the Portland Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Nance is the music director for Maine Public Broadcasting Network, where she produces and hosts the weekday morning classical music program from 9 a.m. to noon.
