UMFK to present An Evening of Jazz

April 4, 2003

UMFK will present an Evening of Jazz featuring Replica Jazz on Friday, April 11, at 8:00 p.m. in the Bengal's Lair.

Replica Jazz has performed several times on the UMFK campus during various coffee houses, banquets and special celebrations.

Band members include Gilles Guerrette, Marc Fournier, Gisele Gaudreau Levesque of Edmundston, New Brunswick; Dan Provencher of Macamic, Quebec, and Yves Dube, Joe Kingston and Dave Ezzy of Madawaska.

In addition to the popular group who has delighted audiences at UMFK in the past, the evening will also include performances by The UMFK Music Club and Scott Brickman, associate professor of music at the university.

Sponsored by the International Performers Series, the event promises to entertain the audience with a variety of music in a relaxed lounge atmosphere with fine food and refreshments.

"An Evening of Jazz promises to be a relaxing social event for students and the community as a whole," said Scott Voisine. "Those who love jazz should take this great opportunity to hear some of the best of our local talent."

The event is open to both the public and the campus community. Admission to the event is $5.00 for adults twelve and over. UMFK students and staff are admitted free.
