A second session of the Maine's Criminal Justice Academy's Alert Test will be given at the University of Maine at Fort Kent on Monday, May 22 at 12:00 noon in Cyr Hall room 202.
The test is required prior to attending programs offered at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy.
The examination consists of two main sections. The first part of the exam consists of 60 questions that pertain to reading comprehension. The second part of the exam contains 100 questions dealing with writing skills. Both sections measure important basic abilities. A two hour time limit has been set.
The cost of the Alert Test is $40.00 and a picture ID must be presented at the time of the examination.
The Alert Test will be offered on campus twice a year and additional dates may be added, if there is a demand.
The University will also be offering the Academy's Law Enforcement Preservice course on campus from Monday, June 12 through Wednesday, June 28. This is being offered as a three credit criminal justice university course.
