University of Maine at Fort Kent academic outreach will host "The Basics of Starting a Business" on the University campus.
The three-session workshop is free for the general public. The workshop will be offered on Wednesdays May 17, May 24, and May 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The workshop is a collaboration of the Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community and the Women's Business Project of Coastal Enterprises, Inc.
The three-part series will cover what it takes to run a business, the basics of marketing a product or service, handling cash flow and other financial tools.
Pre-registration is required and attendance at all three sessions is expected.
The workshop is appropriate for those who have a business idea and would like guidance on developing a sound business plan or who want support as they take the first steps to get their idea up and running.
