ForestSong, a group of friends in Fort Kent who enjoy choral part-singing, will present its Spring Concert “A North American Patchwork" on Friday, April 17. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. at Christ Congregational Church located on Pleasant Street in Fort Kent.
The event is free to the public. However, donations will be accepted at the door.
The choral repertoire includes Americana, Folk, and Old-Time Gospel songs.
ForestSong has been in existence since 2004.
The group is dedicated to creating music for public enjoyment. ForestSong offers its members the enjoyment of participating in music creation in a variety of genres, as well as the potential for growth in the musical arts.
ForestSong is co-sponsored by Christ Church Congregational and the University of Maine at Fort Kent. ForestSong meets Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Christ Church Congregational.
It welcomes members from both sides of the border. Singers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent of guardian. For further information on the
