On behalf of the University of Maine at Fort Kent Strategic Planning Steering Committee, I take considerable pride and pleasure in distributing for purposes of information and action the University of Maine at Fort Kent 2003-2008 Strategic Plan. The plan has evolved and taken form over a nearly one year period, beginning in April 2003 with the review and revision of the campus mission statement. While principal responsibility for developing the plan was assumed by the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, campus-wide input was sought and obtained through ongoing written and oral communications with faculty, staff and students, involving memoranda and drafts, special presentations, open meetings, and workshops.
