If you have an interest in law enforcement, whether it be at the local, state, regional, or federal level, this program is for you.
Practical Instruction: UMFK’s Public Safety Administration program is taught in a highly practical way by a team of professionals with decades of experience in the field. This experience allows them to convert theory into practice.
Forensic Science: As a student, you will take several courses (at least 3!) in forensic science. You can also earn a minor in forensics, which only increases your employment opportunities.
Practical Application: Mock interviews. Mock trial prep. Mock crime scenes. Required internships.
Flexibility: For students interested in careers in the legal, social, and practical aspects of public safety, you can choose a minor in Criminal Justice.
Regardless of the minor you select, the program is designed to provide you with the professional skills to seek employment as a law enforcement officer, corrections officer, game warden, deputy, trooper, federal law enforcement officer, or fire marshall.
