Brief Biography

Marilyn Epp was hired in 2018. Prior to teaching for UMFK, she was an intelligence analyst with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Professor Epp’s career began when she enlisted in the United States Air Force after September 11, 2001. She was trained as an Arabic linguist and worked in military intelligence. She has been a juvenile Restorative Justice Facilitator for Aroostook County since 2019 and became a licensed Maine hunting guide in 2020.

Professor Epp earned her BS in Forensic Biology from San Jose State University and then earned her MS in Intelligence and National Security from the University of Texas at El Paso.

She enjoys hiking, backpacking, yoga, reading, baking, and hunting, especially archery. In the summer of 2019, Ms. Epp climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with her father.
