The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation is a regional accrediting body that offers accreditation to the whole institution. Institutional accreditation is granted to an institution of higher education that meets or exceeds stated criteria of educational quality.

The comprehensive review recognized institutional efforts at quality assurance and quality improvement. The 2005 University of Maine at Fort Kent institutional self-study hallmarked our mission toward institutional effectiveness and student outcomes achievement.
