Organizers of the 2019 UMFK Fiddlers’ Jamboree have put out a call to area musicians and entertainers to participate in one of the largest jam sessions, which has been held annually on the University of Maine at Fort Kent campus.
Young wordsmiths will test their skills next month when the University of Maine at Fort Kent Office of Community Education hosts the Northern District (Aroostook County) Scripps National Spelling Bee competition for middle school students on Thursday, February 7 at 6:30 p.m. in Fox Auditorium (in case of inclement weather on the 7th, the competition will be held the 8th at 6:30 in Fox Auditorium).
The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host a presentation by Libra professor and author Debby Irving, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Nadeau Hall conference room. The presentation is free and open to the public.
