Campus and community leaders are lauding the Legislature and Governor Paul R. LePage for supporting a $49 million investment in the University of Maine System’s workforce development infrastructure that voters will be asked to approve this fall.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is excited to announce the arrival of their new athletic director, Garett Sherman. Mr. Sherman comes to UMFK from the University of Maine where he was their assistant women’s basketball coach.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent, has announced that 284 full-time and 199 part-time students are named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester.
Students attaining the honor must be degree candidates, enrolled as a full-time student or a part-time student, and must maintain a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester with no grades below a “C.”

The University of Maine at Fort Kent’s Summer Theatre program, now entering its eleventh season, is pleased to announce open auditions for its Summer 2018 production of, “Mother Courage and Her Children,” by Bertolt Brecht.
On Friday, May 11th ninety-one University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students graduated from the program, with 32 of them attending the 34th annual UMFK Nurse Pinning Ceremony at the Fox Auditorium on the UMFK campus.
The annual awards and scholarships presented to deserving undergraduate and graduating University of Maine at Fort Kent students this year took place on several occasions: UMFK’s ninth annual Scholars’ Symposium, Senior Sendoff, and Commencement.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent graduating seniors received their degrees at the 136th commencement exercises held at UMFK’s Sports Center on May 12. University President John N. Short presided over the ceremony that conferred 203 baccalaureate degrees and 29 associate degrees.
The University of Maine at Fort Kent is proud to announce that Behavioral Science student, Glenroy Osbourne, has been accepted into the elite PreLaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) program at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine. The four-week summer immersion program provides students with opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills to help them in future careers.
