The University of Maine at Fort Kent has once again been named a “Best Northeastern College” by the prestigious publication, The Princeton Review.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to welcome Kennedy “Ned” Rubert-Nason, Ph.D., as the new assistant professor of chemistry. Dr. Rubert-Nason replaces retiring professor Dr. Rameen Aryana who taught chemistry at UMFK since 1986.  

The University of Maine at Fort Kent and the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for area businesses, organizations, and individuals interested in placing an entry in the homecoming/scarecrow parade that will take place on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11 a.m.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent invites the business community and service organizations throughout the Valley to participate in a “Community Fair” on Thursday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Campus and community leaders are lauding the Legislature and Governor Paul R. LePage for supporting a $49 million investment in the University of Maine System’s workforce development infrastructure that voters will be asked to approve this fall.

The University of Maine at Fort Kent is excited to announce the arrival of their new athletic director, Garett Sherman. Mr. Sherman comes to UMFK from the University of Maine where he was their assistant women’s basketball coach. 

The University of Maine at Fort Kent, has announced that 284 full-time and 199 part-time students are named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester.

Students attaining the honor must be degree candidates, enrolled as a full-time student or a part-time student, and must maintain a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester with no grades below a “C.”

The Acadian Archives/Archives acadiennes of the University of Maine at Fort Kent is pleased to open their new exhibit, “Evangeline,” with a wine and cheese reception on July 5, 2018, at 4:30 pm.
