As you may have noticed, there is a recent first-time job posting for Human Resources on our campus and over the coming weeks we will be searching for a new Associate HR Partner as well as a half-time Administrative Specialist CL3 to be positioned with us at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
These additions to our team represent the next step in our ongoing evolution toward becoming an outstanding HR organization in support of UMFK’s faculty, staff and students.
Just as with the recent adjustment of recruitment support and continuation of campus announcements for promotions, hires and transfers, we are seeking to remain responsive to the needs you are sharing with us. When we discovered that while the campus is pleased with the leadership and oversight recently put into place but wanting to suggest approaches for a more consistent presence, we listened.
This new progressive model includes an Associate HR Partner and a dedicated half-time Administrative Specialist in addition to my ongoing oversight of the UMFK HR operation. This staffing model is designed to not only be responsive to your feedback and input, but remain true to our overall goals of providing top-notch service while reaffirming out commitment to a centralized HR model.

In the coming weeks, I will be finalizing our search committee who will work diligently to identify the best possible professional fit to meet our high standards and expectations.
