DESCRIPTION:The Crown of Maine Balloon Fest takes place Friday\, August 28-Sunday\, August 30th\, 2026. The festival schedule is below\, but is continuing to evolve so please check back for updates!\nAll events take place at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds unless otherwise specified. Admission and parking at the festival are free\, but specific event activities may have a registration fee (these will be noted on the schedule when possible.)\nPlease note: all morning and evening launch times are estimated and are weather and pilot dependent. SUMMARY:2026 Out of Darkness Walk
DESCRIPTION:Walk in memory or support of those who have lost someone to suicide. Suicide can be prevented. Join the movement!  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m and walk begins at 10:00 a.m. The walk route consists of the “Fort Kent Mills\,” a 2.8 mile loop through downtown Fort Kent. The walk will begin and end at the Lion’s Pavilion.  Proceeds go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness\, provide education and support to survivors of suicide loss\, etc. As always\, we promote this as a tobacco free event.
