Travel Day

The team consists of Pofessor Roshonda Phillips, Duane Belanger, Jessica Baldwin, Caitlyn Roix, Shane Averill, Britney Rice, Calyn Brown, Dakota Martin, Jessyca Girsha, Jamie Brown, Samantha Jackson, Julianna Dami, Kalee Kershner, Jihan Garrett, and, Rebecca Melanson.

Today your team is making their way to airports through the United States, finalizing travel documents and preparing to check-in on their international flights.  Together team members are bringing over 500lbs of donated medical supplies that will have an immediate impact on the community of the Alajuelita clinic which is operated by the Foundation for International Medical of Children (FIMRC).

Your team will be staying with 6 Costa Rican families who have opened their homes and will be attending to the needs of your team throughout their stay in Costa Rica.  They will provide meals including a bag lunch to take to clinic, laundry services and expose your team members to the customs and culture of their home country.

The team will be staying in the town of Santa Ana which is located about 20 minutes outside of San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica.

The first team member will arrive in country shortly after 1230AM on Saturday August 19, 2017 and the last team member will touch down in Costa Rica just before 7PM local time.  After settling in with their families your team members will enjoy the day on Sunday taking in the local scenery before the first day of clinic on Monday August 21, 2017.

Stay tuned for daily updates and if the local data networks permit we will post photos and videos.
