Behavioral Science

The Behavioral Science Program at the University of Maine at Fort Kent supply the learner with knowledge of both the variations and the similarities of all humanity. It is the foundation for studies of ethnic, gender, cognitive, emotional, age, and social diversity, and especially for human services, social studies education, pre-law, and the civil service. This foundation of understanding is increasingly important in our globalized and international world.

In addition to providing knowledge and skills for our students in Behavioral Science, this field is also part of the General Education Core of the UMFK curriculum, where it provides a global and diverse perspective into humanity for other programs such as Nursing, Public Safety, Business and Environmental Studies.
