Nicole Boudreau

Associate Professor of French

Dr. Nicole Boudreau has been a French Professor at UMFK since 2010. Her first degree is in chemistry and after an unsuccessful attempt at becoming a chemical engineer, she ran away to Scotland where she worked as a nanny. After lots of traveling and searching, she moved to Louisiana and earned a Ph.D. in French. Besides teaching French, her career opportunities have included gutting herring in a fish plant, working as a cashier at a grocery store, driving a bus on a glacier and, recently, becoming interim Dean of Arts & Sciences and Professional Studies. In her spare time she loves cooking, dancing, and photography.
